Brief itinerary
• Day 1: transfer from Arusha to Lake Manyara national park in karatu

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Lake Manyara national park in karatu
Upon arrival and meeting with our guide, he will then give you a short briefing short prayer for journey mercies and you will embark on your journey to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the smallest but most diverse parks in Tanzania. The shallow and alkaline Lake Manyara covers a large area of the park and it is the seasonal home to thousands of flamingos – an awesome (pink) sight.
However more than 500 other bird species are also found here as well as some wonderful mammals. Troops of monkeys live in the forests, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests on the grassy plains and elephants and lions in the acacia woodlands. Enroute the journey, you will be able to watch animals and the entire vast vegetation plus so many other.
After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you will leave the park to make your way to the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro highlands where you will check in the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer from Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater and later to Tarangire
You will awake early in the morning to the beautiful sounds and roars of the wild, whispers of the birds as they sing melodiously, have your breakfast and then embark on your journey, you will drive into Ngorongoro Conservation Area and down into the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is about 600m deep, that is approximately 20km wide and the massive caldera is home to an amazing variety of animals.
On your game drive you have the possibility of seeing all different kinds of mammals ranging from the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos and leopards then also to Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and mountain reedbucks.
You might also see spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area.
After which you will have a break for a picnic lunch in the crater and continue for more game viewing, and you will leave the crater in the afternoon and drive to Tarangire Maramboi Tented Lodge, where you will have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire national park and transfer back to Arusha
Since we want to beat the time, you will wake up early in the morning have your breakfast, after breakfast you will continue to another park on the Northern Circuit, the Tarangire National Park. This park is characterized with endless grasslands, huge baobab trees, the perennial Tarangire River and seasonal swamps is a home to the largest herds of elephants in northern Tanzania.
Animals gather at the river and from this point you will be able to see elephants, giraffes, bushbuck, hartebeest, dik-diks, waterbucks, warthogs and reedbucks all year round.
Besides that, the park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by wide range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen every once in a while, but cheetahs are rarely spotted. As soon as the game drive is done, you will then exit the park in the afternoon and return to Arusha for departure.
