2 Day Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari
Overview
Lake Mburo national park is refered to as Whispers of the Wild and it’s located in Kampala-Mbarara highway. This park is the smallest in Uganda combined to the 9 others parks. Lake Mburo is blessed with a number of mammals, bird species and plant species. Some of the wildlife found in this park include elands, leopards, hyenas, topis, hippos, waterbuck, Oribi, buffaloes, impala, zebras, kobs, warthogs and reedbuck among others. Some of the bird species in the park include Hammerkops, magnificent fish eagles and kingfishers to list the few.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Evening Boat Cruise
Pick up from your location and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey takes 3-4 hours’ drive depending on stopovers. Your will have stopover at Mpambire drum makers village and at the Uganda Equator where an experiment will be conducted to prove the difference between the Northern and southern hemispheres using the funnel and water. You will have refreshments during the stopover and take some photos at the Equator.
Proceed with the safari to Lake Mburo, upon arrival at the park, register with parks office and then drive to the lodge where you will have lunch. After lunch, head for an evening boat cruise and you see crocodiles, school of hippos, waterbuck, kobs and topis among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Departure
Rise early so as to catch up with early risers before they return to their hideouts. Expect to see plenty of wildlife like Zebras which are the most common one in this park, warthogs, impalas, buffaloes, elands, waterbucks, oribis, topis, antelope, monkeys, olive baboon, spotted hyena, leopard but rarely, whit-tailed mongoose and hippos among others.
Return to the lodge and have late breakfast and lunch. You will check-out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala. Drop off at the hotel or Entebbe international airport.
