Detailed Itinerary
Day to Day
Our company guide will pick you up from your residence/hotel at 7:00am after your morning breakfast for transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to trek Rhinos. The journey to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary takes 3 hours’ drive, with a few stopovers at any point of interest. Drive through local villages and ever green vegetation.
Upon arrival at the sanctuary, you will drive to the sanctuary office for briefing by game rangers on how to behave when with the white Rhinos. As Chosen Expeditions and tours, we always advise our visitors to follow the rules and regulations being given by game rangers because these white Rhinos can be aggressive at times and for the matter of fact, rhinos remain as wild animals.
After briefing, you will drive to the starting point depending on the location where this white Rhino are found so as to reduce the distance of searching. Your game ranger will explain different information on the behaviors of the rhino, and you are free to take as many photos as you can during the trek.
After finding the white rhinos, you will be able to visit different rhino families, and you will get a chance of seeing other animals during the nature walk, like bushbucks, Uganda kobs, leopards [rarely], waterbucks, and duikers. Return to the office and check-out of the sanctuary back to Kampala.
